When you place a Personals ad with us, you would be asked to set up a Voice Mail Introductions system so that interested persons can leave you a message.

Note that Personal ads and Voice Mail Introductions responses may only be submitted by persons 18 years and over.

Setting up your Voice Mail Introductions system.

1. When you placed your ad, you would have been given a Voice Mail personal Number and Pin Number (these should remain confidential)
2. Call the 1900 phone number (we supplied) to place your personal message. For your security, do not leave your Surname, address or phone numbers.

Retrieving response messages from your Voice Mail Introductions system

1. To listen to your messages, call the 1900 number.
2. Take down details of messages, which interest you.
3. As you move from one message to another, the original message is automatically erased (you can replay a message more than once before moving onto the next one). Calls are charged at 40c per minute, GST inclusive.

Meeting your respondents for the first time

When making contact with persons for the first time, it is advisable to meet in a public place and let a member of your family or trusted friend know where you will be.

We would advise readers and advertisers to exercise caution when giving out personal details. This will be respected by genuine respondents.
